Head Races

Oklahoma City University’s Head of the Oklahoma features a challenging 2.5 mile head race course featuring dual starts. Competitors will race in a counter-clockwise pattern with the starting line at the west end of the basin. Crews will start two at a time, vying for position as they go through a series of turns and bridges and ending with a straightaway to the finish line. The head races will include events for collegiate, master and junior rowers in single, doubles, pairs, fours, quads and eights. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event. The head race is also the qualifier for the 500 meter OG&E NightSprints.

Sprints

The 500 meter super sprints will take place under the lights in the Corporate Rowing Challenge Thursday and Friday nights, and for Head of the Oklahoma qualifiers, following head racing on Saturday. Top finishers in the 500 meter super sprint will be presented with commemorative custom awards.
